What technologies do we use?

Type of technology

A cookie is a small file placed onto your device which enables certain features and functionalities.

  • Cookies can be divided into two categories depending on how long they remain active:
Session Cookies
These are temporary cookies that are deleted when your web browser is closed.
Persistent Cookies These are cookies which remain on your device for a set period.
  • Cookies can be divided into two categories depending on which websites are loading them:
First-party cookies These are cookies set through the domain you are visiting.
Third-party cookies These are cookies set by a different domain than the one you are visiting.

Pixels / Web beacons

A pixel is a tiny image included in web pages and emails. To download this image, your device needs to request it from a webserver. When your device requests it, certain information is shared, including your device’s IP Address, browser information, and a timestamp.

We use pixels to learn more about your interactions with email content or web content, such as whether you interact with ads or posts.

Local storage

Local storage enables a website or application to store information locally on your device(s). Local storage may be used to improve the user’s experience, for example, by enabling features, remembering your preferences, and speeding up load times.

Other similar technologies

We also use other tracking technologies, such as mobile tags for similar purposes as described in this notice.

Please check the cookie transparency table below for further information about the concrete technologies used. This list is updated from time to time.

What are these technologies used for?

Strictly Necessary or Required

These technologies are strictly necessary for security purposes (including authentication), for the transmission of communication over an electronic communications network, or to provide an “information society service” (e.g., a service over the internet or via an app). We will automatically use these technologies.

These technologies are necessary, for example, to add products to a shopping cart, for security and authentication purposes, or to ensure that the content of a page loads quickly.

You cannot opt out as they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service.

Social Media

These technologies allow you to connect to your social network and read reviews.

Where necessary, we will ask for your consent before using these technologies.

Analytics and research

These technologies allow us to learn more about how you use and navigate through our services. We use this information to improve and research products, features, and relevant services by understanding amongst others how long a visitor stays on our website, what pages are most useful, how you arrived at our websites, etc.

As an example, when you visit or use our websites or use our mobile applications we may register your browser type, operating system, referring website, web-browsing behaviour, app behaviour, and whether and how you interact with the content available on our websites and within our apps.

Where necessary, we will ask for your consent before using these technologies.

Targeted Advertising

These technologies help us show relevant advertising to you more effectively, both on and off our services and to measure the performance of such ads. We use these technologies to learn whether content has been shown to you or whether someone who was presented with an ad later came back and took an action on another site. Similarly, our partners or service providers may use these technologies to determine whether we've shown an ad or a post and how it performed or provide us with information about how you interact with ads.

Where necessary, we will ask for your consent before using these technologies.

What are your choices and how to exercise them?

Where necessary, we will ask for your consent to store cookies or make use of similar technologies.

To make changes to your cookie settings, please click on the “Cookie Preference” button.

Do you want to change your cookie settings? Please note that once placed, cookies and similar technologies that are locally present in your computer cannot be fully removed via changes on the cookie banner.
